How it works

Three parts. One real phone.

PhoneUse Kit connects a supported phone's video and input to a browser interface. Its optional MCP service lets a compatible AI client use those capabilities after you enable access.

Check compatibility first. USB-C charging alone is not enough. The phone must support DisplayPort Alt Mode video output, and you need a full-featured USB-C cable.

1. Connect and configure

Connect the target phone to the kit's data port. Add power to the auxiliary port if needed. Connect the kit to your network and change its default password. On some Android phones, approve external display or USB prompts. On an iPhone, enable AssistiveTouch and use the control page's “Repair iPhone drag” action after each connection.

2. Operate in a browser

Open the hardware's web interface from a device on your trusted network. You can view the phone screen and send pointer and keyboard input. Input behavior differs among operating systems and apps. For access outside your local network, configure a secure connection such as Tailscale; do not expose the control service directly to the public internet.

3. Enable MCP for an AI client

In the hardware settings, enable MCP and copy its endpoint and API key to a compatible AI client. The AI client may then receive screen content and send input. Give access only to a trusted client, protect the API key, and supervise sensitive actions. Some logins, prompts, and system protections may still require your action.
